New Rock Sound Site Ahoy!

Rock Sound Magazine is a monthly alternative music magazine who were looking for an improved web presence to expand their offline brand across the internet.

Their previous site, which we had worked with them to create, had served its purpose – this one needed to reflect the aesthetic values of the Rock Sound brand as well as attract new fans and increase its audience worldwide.

We both streamlined their content areas, as well as adding a new section for exclusive photo galleries, integrating a new comment system using Disqus, and including information from the Rock Sound last.fm account.

2010 then. A new decade full of exciting possibilities. In ten years time we’ll obviously all be using the internet through contact lenses plugged into a chip in our brain, while piloting the obligatory flying cars, but before then we’ve got a few exciting new projects to unveil in the coming weeks. A Badge Of Friendship

A Badge Of Friendship are a London-based promotions, management and media company representing mostly music clients.

They wanted a website which could serve as a pool of resources for journalists looking for information, as well as a place to put news about what they were doing.

We built a site which is capable of hosting full information on the past and present projects ABoF are working on, latest news, a blog, and integration with Flickr, YouTube, Twitter, Vimeo and Last.fm for both artists and the company themselves.

Neu Magazine

Neu Magazine is an online music publication, focusing on new, underground and largely undiscovered acts.

With the site under new management, a design change was needed to reflect the different editorial style.

A clean, uncomplicated look was sought, to make full use of the artists’ creative promotional photo choices, and to allow for longer passages of text. We also integrated comments with the Disqus service.

Rocklouder

Rocklouder is an online alternative music magazine.

After having run for three years on an outdated and obsolete CMS, the decision was made to upgrade to using Expression Engine.

We were able to import all existing content across to the new site, while giving the brand a complete new look and feel.

The site incorporates Brightcove video streaming capabilities, integrates with Twitter, and now includes exclusive photo galleries.

This Is Fake DIY

This Is Fake DIY is an online magazine, covering predominantly independent music.

This incarnation of the site was built to take advantage of new styles offered by CSS3, while keeping in mind those browsers which don’t yet accommodate them.

The main feature on the front page was expanded to incorporate larger images, while the associated TV channel was brought in to the main site, alongside photo galleries and a new forum.

Super awesome independent record label, the Angular Recording Corporation, have released songs by the likes of Bloc Party, These New Puritans, and Mercury Prize winners, Klaxons.

They wanted to step-up from their functional – yet limited – Wordpress blog, while incorporating links to external media and their own label shop.

We gave them a whole new look – including a revamp of their iconic logo, pages on artists and releases with comprehensive information for both fans and media alike, and integrated both label and artist social media accounts.
