The Victorian English Gentlemens Club
The Victorian English Gentlemens Club are a Cardiff-based band, who have released two albums to date: 2006’s self-titled, and 2009 follow-up, ‘Love On An Oil Rig’.
Ahead of the release of the new record, the band wanted a fresh online presence, having not previously taken advantage of social media beyond MySpace.
A fully-interactive site was built, taking influence from the artwork to the album’s lead single, ‘Parrot’. It both sends information to outside sources – namely, Twitter – and takes information from others’ APIs – YouTube, Last.fm and Flickr being the most evident, plus connects with the band’s existing merchandise shop.
